There are many remarkable films from director Sidney Lumet, one of the best known his courthouse drama '12 angry men'. But for me his best effort and easily one of my TOP-11 list is the basically unknown picture 'Running on empty', in which a family is on the run from the FBI. River Phoenix plays his part with an intensity, which brought him his one and only academy award nomination. And the other actors are hardly inferior to River. You haven't seen this movie? Go get it!
