Opinion
It is hard enough to make a good film from a good story. To make a masterpiece
such as 'Stand By Me' doesn't happen too often. The film is funny, it is sad and
it has the ability to take grown men and sends them back through time, makes them
think about the years that had long been forgotten. The child actors did a terrific
job - with the late River Phoenix in the lead. The scene where he talks to
Gordie (Wil Wheaton) about the stealing of the milkmoney is moviemagic. It brings
tears to my eyes even thinking about it. The best film ever. Period.
