To mention all my favorite places in NYC would take too much time and too much space. But I most certainly can give the following advise to all first-time-nyc-travellers:
1. Spend as much time as possible in Central Park
2. Cross the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan at Dusk
3. Cross the harbour with the Staten Island from Manhatten to Staten Island and back
at the same time
4. Climb the Empire State Building in the blue hour. That is most overwhelming view
someone can have
5. Watch the musical 'Les Miserables' as long as it is still running, if not, treat
yourself with another musical
6. Drive in the Bronx at night via Subway - no, no, just kidding. But seriously.
You should not do anything careless in New York - like crossing into C or D-Street in
Lower Manhattan. But you shouldn't believe every horror story. I was four times in the
Big Apple and so far I never felt any danger. Just use your common sense.
