In every other area of the world the friends would be the main attractions. In Canyon Country they just round off the biggies (Grand, Bryce or Arches). Which does not mean that you shouldn't spend some time there. But as with most average tourists the time was just not long enough.
With Bryce we got one of the days with bad weather. It drizzled, was very cloudy. We barely got a glimpse of the sun, which is quite unfortunate in Bryce. I saw some photographs with sunshine at sunrise. Now, that must have been impressive.
1. Powell
Reconciliation after too many canyons :-) Lake Powell
2.-4. Death Valley
We were lucky. It was only very hot and not intolerable. We barely had 100 degrees: -)
It is really strange to be below sea level in the desert
5. Monument
We had to have a picture with our red, round 'rocket' on it. And it is a nice
background, I have to say
6. On the way
Taken out of the driving car
7./8. Bryce
Two pictures from the beautiful canyon, which would have been even more beautiful with
the sun. Although - for a tiny moment the sun showed up
9./10. Guard
This black monster took care of things at Bryce Canyon :-)
11. Fog
Impression of Agua Canyon (Bryce NP) in the fog
12. Zion
Without words
13. Canyonlands
I can only repeat myself - impressive, what mother earth thinks of
