I didn't want particularly to emphasize the beauty of a specific area in South Africa. But on second thinking I must do that nevertheless. The nature around Cape Town, with the table mountain, the 12 apostels, the Cape of good hope and-and-and is to grand not to. I spent the most beautiful days of the vacation on the table mountain and around the Cape of good hope.
1./6. Signpost at the tower
The arrows are attached over the cape at the old lighthouse. The lighthouse is not in use any more
because it was so highly built that it could not be seen on foggy days.
2.-4. Baboons at the cape
Even if the apes are relatively small, one should not underestimate them. An full growth
male is three times ber than an adult human. With fig. 2 the cape can be seen in the background.
5./9. Klippschliefer
Small herbivores, which are to be found in the rockarea at the cape and also on the
table mountain. Even if it can hardly be believed: in their physique the Klippschliefer
resembles the elephant... well, that's what they tell in books.
10.-14. Table mountain
I can't really describe my feelings when I first entered the sunlight in the cable car
on the trip to table mountain. I think I cried, it was too beautiful. These are the
photographic documents, which record an unforgettable sunset.
