What didn't they tell me about Yellowstone. On one hand: unique, overwhelming, fascinating - on the other hand: overcrowded with people, no animals to see, just a waste of time.
After two days I can agree only with the first opinion. I would drop everything immediately and spend several weeks in Yellowstone if I could. On the first day we came from the Visitor center and a dozen deer stood before us. And there was more: Buffalo, moose, a bear from the distance, thousands of birds and other small and large animals. In addition the sulfuric smell, occasionally the outbreak of a geysir and a both beautiful and strange landscape - ingenious! Pure America.
1. Hot Spring
Nearly cooking hot water flows through the park and collects itself in a small pond,
where you can have a hot bath - if you like water with 120 degrees
2-4. Deer
In front of the Visitor center in Yellowstone. When we went inside, the lawn was empty,
five minutes later a good dozen of deer had met - overwhelming
5-7. Simter Terrace
Unfortunately we were only there in the hot midday light - even at this time the
colorplay is beautiful - I would want to be there at sunset
8-9. Marmoth
The small animal visited us at lunch. Naturally we did not feed it. Others did
10. Parent
This mother stood directle by the road, watchint out for her young
11. Geysir
View in the Park
12. Dead
A leftover of the devastating fire disaster that raged through Yellosstone in the
early 80s
13. Danger
If this small geysir breaks out, you shouldn't be too close. Because the jet aims
exactly at the road
14. Yellowstone Lake
Very beautiful - unfortunately with somewhat bad luck with the weather. In the sunshine
it would have been even prettier
15-16. Landscape
The sky clears, the sun comes out slowly and the light is gorgeous
17-19. Waterfall
It is not Niagara, but the upper and lower falls in Yellowstone are worth a visit or
two:-)
20. Clouds
Sometimes the sky can be just as interesting as the earth
