Beside the areas around Eiffel Tower, Trocadero and Marsfeld the Place de la Concorde with the Champs Elysees, the Tuilleries and the view to the Arc de Triomphe is the second place in Paris, where I could spend an unlimited amount of time.
From a photographic point of view the place with the surrounding attractions, like the obelisk and the two beautiful fountains has so much to offer as no other place in Paris. Specially the two fountains are an invitation to experimentation.
I've tried to get one or another view from the Place de la Concorde which is not taken by every tourist or fellow photographer.
1. Statue
A small detail of the large place
2. Fountain
Since water always fascinated me as a photographic motif, the Place de la Concorde naturally
gave me everything I needed
3.-5. Obelisk
Three impressions of the center of the Place de la Concorde, which include the surrounding
fence. Personally image no. 4 pleases me most
6.-8. Detail
Not just the fountain in its impressive size but also small details can give me a decent
motif
9.-10. Dawn
The Place de la Concorde with the Arc de Triomphe in the background. The photo was shot from
the Tuilleries in a beautiful sunset
11.-13. Water at night
In the blue hour the colors of the fountain get even more impressive than they do in daylight.
Specially with a long exposure time
