Montmartre

Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur and beautiful old houses, only a few of many interesting objects in the quarter of Montmartre. But Montmartre cannot be described or shown, Montmartre has to be felt and experienced.

Hardly more beautiful walks are conceivable than can be taken in Montmartre. Climb Sacre Coeur (the hill Montmartre is the highest elevation in Paris), explore the church, enjoy the many artists around the little square. Take some time in a cafe, enjoy a cappucino. Beautiful!

1. Light
Shot against the bright sunlight

2-4. Coeur
General impression and detail of the beautiful basilika

5. Artist
Watched over the shoulder of the artist. I cannot judge the artistic value but many of the paintings please me at least as much as some I have found in well known museums

6.-9. Art
Four of some hundred works of art

10. Vegetation
One of the prettiest houses I found in Paris - on the way from Sacre Coeur to the cemetery Montmartre
