If a visitor wants to recover a little after long walks through Paris, usually the next park is not far away.
My two favorites places for recovering, reading, hearing music and simply having a good time are the Jardin de Plantes in the area of Gare Austerlitz, specially for plant and flower lovers and the enormous Jardin du Luxembourg with playgrounds, tennis courts and much more. There is no better thing than getting a chair at the beautiful fountain near the castle and just look around - as long as you don't get restless :-)
There are dozens of pictures from the parks on my harddrive. Flowers, plants etc. I will try to have these pictures published in the theme galleries in the near future.
1. Palais Royal
Light and shade in the park behind the Palais Royal
2. Les Halles
Near the commerce temple Les Halles, close to the church St. Eustache there is a small
garden with many plants
3.-5. Flowers
Three views from the Jardin de Plantes. Personally I like No. 5 best due to the beautiful
colour combination
6.-8. Castle
The castle at Jardin du Luxemburg in three shots. Through the legs of a lion and the clock
at "5 to 12"
9. Flower in clouds
