It has taken one decade, until the Parisians forgave Francois Mitterrand, who had expected too much from his fellow frenchmen by giving them La Defense, sketched by a Danish architect. The arch, 110 meters high and weighing 300.000 tons, was just too much for the french soul in the 80s.
I have to admit that I liked the building from the beginning, at least from a photographic standpoint. And the view toward the east, over the Champs Elysees up to the Arc de Triomphe, is really really extraordinary.
In this gallery you will find a few impressions from one of the most interestins business-centres of the world.
